Draft for product readiness. This page is a draft template provided for early-access/product-readiness purposes and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before any public or commercial launch.
These Terms govern your use of MAi HomeBase (a product of MAi Home Report). By using the service you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of MAi HomeBase

MAi HomeBase is a platform that helps homeowners track appliances, maintenance, and issue history, and connect with service providers. MAi HomeBase facilitates connections and information; it does not itself perform repairs.

Consumer accounts

Homeowners may track appliances, view health and maintenance insights, submit service requests, and contact providers. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter.

Provider accounts

Service providers may list services, receive direct requests, and (on eligible plans) participate in the Open Marketplace Pool. Providers are independent and are not employees or agents of MAi HomeBase.

Service requests and marketplace

Homeowners may send direct requests to chosen providers or post requests visible to eligible providers. Providers may submit proposals/quotes. The homeowner chooses whether to accept a provider; submitting a proposal does not create a binding engagement until the homeowner accepts.

Verification and trust badges

Provider verification status and trust badges are informational signals based on submitted documents and are not a guarantee of a provider's qualifications, licensing, insurance, or work quality. You are responsible for independently verifying a provider's credentials before engaging them.

User responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, and not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

Provider responsibilities

Providers are solely responsible for their licensing, insurance, qualifications, communications, pricing, and the services they perform, and for complying with applicable laws.

Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through third-party payment processors. Plan features and pricing may change. See our Refund / Cancellation Policy.

AI-assisted features

Some features use AI to provide estimates and recommendations. These are informational and may be inaccurate. See our AI Disclaimer.

No emergency service guarantee

MAi HomeBase is not an emergency service and does not guarantee provider availability or response times. For emergencies, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

No warranty of repair outcomes

MAi HomeBase does not guarantee appliance diagnoses, repair outcomes, provider quality, or that an appliance will continue to operate. Health scores and diagnostics are estimates, not guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAi HomeBase and MAi Home Report are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts or omissions of providers or homeowners. This is draft language pending legal review.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or its users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
