This Privacy Policy describes how MAi HomeBase (a product of MAi Home Report) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our appliance and home-maintenance platform.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the service:

  • Account/profile information — name, email, account type (homeowner or service provider), and contact details.
  • Appliance/property information — appliances, models, photos or manuals you upload, locations/rooms, installation dates, and maintenance schedules.
  • Service request information — request descriptions, symptoms, preferred timing, and related messages.
  • Provider information — business details, service areas, credentials/verification documents, and proposals/quotes.
  • Payment/subscription information — handled by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Device, log, and usage data — such as IP address, browser/device type, and interactions with the service.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the service, including to: create and manage accounts; match homeowners and providers; route and fulfill service requests; calculate appliance health and maintenance insights; provide AI-assisted recommendations; process subscriptions; communicate with you; and maintain security.

Sharing with providers and homeowners

To deliver the service, relevant request and appliance details are shared between homeowners and the providers involved in a request. Providers receive job-relevant context, not your unrelated household portfolio. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers and vendors

We use third-party vendors (for example, hosting, database, email, and payment processing) that process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations.

AI-assisted processing

Some features use AI to generate estimates, diagnostics, and recommendations from appliance and request data you provide. AI outputs are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. See our AI Disclaimer.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can review and update most account and appliance information from within the app. You may request changes or deletion of your account information by contacting us.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
